Late start so it wasn’t until after breakfast that we bundled Bangle in the car and set off, dropping me at SwimGym while Karola did the mid-week shopping.

On the way there I dropped in at the Vets and spoke to the vet in residence. I explained as completely as possible the circumstances and condition of the poor little hogget. She said it had no symptoms of disease or poisoning and seemed as if it had lost the use of its legs – probably through an injury to back or neck. So it won’t get better.

Rest of the day spent on emails (replying) and articles (reading), with Karola composing an email to the Scottish Telegraph to see if they can help her identify the wartime location of one of Cynthia’s photos.

Called Mark and he came over, dispatched #829 and took the meat home for his dogs. It’s sad for Karola, she does get so attached to her animals, particularly the ones she spends time with. I buried the remains.
