Quite a good day – cold but occasional glimpses of sun.

It was so chilly this morning that even Karola and Bramble stayed inside, Karola doing e-mails and Bramble playing with her miniature tennis ball. Karola cut nettles in the next pasture patch ready for the ewes. Once it’s wilted they do munch on nettles although of course it stings them unpleasantly hen still alive.

Mysterious (or is it Mischievous) Maids came and cleaned the cottage in the afternoon while I carried on with my windbreak pruning – only 26 trees left to do – and Karola popped into Hastings for a smidgen of retail therapy.
