I went over to Karl’s place in Taradale for the monthly meeting of his Free Thinkers group. Much of the time was spent, as planned. on reactions to the USA presidential election. As expected the women were appalled that any woman would even consider voting for Donald Trump, regardless of any other considerations. But apparently for the women in America, especially the working class women, having more money to put food on the table outweighed the women’s rights issue. We all agreed that if Trump were able to stop the war between Ukraine and Russia it would be a very very good thing. Also for Israel/Gaza too of course but Trump may find it a lot more difficult to stop Israel going to war with Iran.
