A rush on to complete nailing of weatherboards, ordering of windows, making sure everyone is on message. Paul finish his away job and came back to tidy up. Matt got lots of weatherboard done and began on scribers; (special boards to go between windows and wall). Karola took round her definition of the windows with words and pictures; her words and Clapcott consultancy pictures and all the variables we have worked out between us. But not before Paul convinced us to have the special mouldings all round the house. On visiting the joinery shop K. was very disappointed to hear about the very limited choice of timbers to do stairs, or anything else; macracarpa, pine, kwila, rimu maybe…but everything in short supply. A search is on.
